Faried couldn’t put any weight on his ankle and as many feared that he had fractured a bone, but he’ll just miss the final two games of the regular season.

Going into their matchup tonight in Milwaukee, the Nuggets have a slim one-game lead for the third seed in the Western Conference. The Nuggets will already be without forward Danilo Gallinari, who suffered a torn-ACL early in April and now will be without Faried for their playoff push.

This season, Faried is averaging 11.5 points and 9.2 rebounds, but his energy and effort will be what the Nuggets will miss the most.

For the Lakers, they still have a minimal chance of getting the sixth seed, granted the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors lose their final two games. Against the Lakers, Faried is averaging 11.8 points and 8.3 rebounds in four games.
