NBA News: Antawn Jamison Nearing Deal With Los Angeles Clippers

With the news about Lamar Odom blowing up over the last few days, it looks like the Los Angeles Clippers are ready to give up on the pursuit of the lefty and bring in Antawn Jamison, according to Yahoo! Sports Mark Spears.

Jamison is coming off a year in which he averaged 9.4 points and 4.8 rebounds with the Lakers in a very disappointing season that saw the team get swept in the first round by the San Antonio Spurs.

Jamison’s biggest asset has been his ability to move well without the ball and his innate slashing ability, which would actually be a huge skill set on this year’s Clippers team.

Jamison has been very vocal about wanting to play with a championship contender — which was a huge reason he signed with the Lakers last season. No deal has been completed yet, but from the looks of it, Jamison will stay in Los Angeles, just with the Clippers this time around.
