Mike Brown Expected to Return to Lakers Sideline on Sunday

After missing Friday night’s win over the Denver Nuggets due to personal reasons, head coach Mike Brown is expected back on the Los Angeles sideline Sunday afternoon when the team takes on the Dallas Mavericks.

According to Mike Bresnahan of the L.A. Times, Brown should be back with the Lakers after a brief, one-game hiatus.

[Brown] is expected to return for the Lakers’ game Sunday against Dallas, according to a team official.

Last night the team didn’t need Brown, as assistant coach John Kuester took the controls and helped guide the team to victory. He also had a little help from Kobe Bryant, who has been trying out his coaching skills lately while being sidelined with an injured shin.

While Brown didn’t disclose why he was forced to leave the team just an hour before, citing only personal reasons, our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
