Lamar Odom has been through the ups and downs in his career and most recently he’s found a new home. Odom was initially aiming for a comeback return in the second-half of the NBA season, but things have taken different turn according to reports coming in from David Pick via twitter:

Earlier in the season, Odom wanted to pursue his NBA career working through his game and continuing rehabilitation from his rumored drug issues. Last summer Odom was allegedly using crack cocaine in a LA hotel and Odom went through a downward spiral in the NBA. It was rumored that the Lakers were willing to give Odom a chance if he handled his drug issues, but it never came together as both parties parted ways.

It was reported that the Clippers were formerly interested in taking the former two-time NBA champion. Since then, the 34-year-old has decided to play the field overseas with Laboral Kutxa in Spain. Odom’s plan is to play for the rest of season in Spain before deciding to make a return into the NBA next season. Misko Raznatovic, the head of European operations representing Lamar Odom, recently tweeted this about the former Laker agreeing to sign a contract with Laboral Kutxa:

Hopefully, Odom’s endeavors overseas will lead to a fresh, clean start.
