Lakers Rumors: Warriors Made Big Impression On Dwight Howard

Dwight Howard has finished his five meetings and will head to Colorado to deliberate on his decision. There’s a chance that Howard makes his decision on Friday, but with his indecisive nature, who knows if he’ll commit then.

From Sunday to Tuesday, Howard met with the Rockets, Mavericks, Hawks, Warriors and ended his round of meetings with the Lakers.

However, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com, a surprise suitor has emerged and grabbed Howard’s attention:

Dwight HowardThe only scenario that Howard could wind up with the Warriors would be in a sign-and-trade, which the Lakers have said multiple times that they’re not interested in doing.

That could change if Howard gives the Lakers an ultimatum that he wants to go to Rockets for nothing as general manager Mitch Kupchak would have to weigh the idea of getting something for him.

Coming into his meetings with all five teams, the Rockets were seen as the favorite to land his services as the Lakers had a lot of ground to make up.

After their meeting, Mike D’Antoni, Steve Nash and Mitch Kupchak seemed optimistic that Howard would re-sign with the Lakers after he takes time to make his decision.

Friday will be a stressful day in Lakerland as the Lakers off-season and future seasons will depend on what Howard decides to ultimately do.
