Lakers Play Of The Week: Monster Block To The Transition Three

This week, our favorite Lakers play has it all! Defense, offense, and three-ball in transition. Last Sunday in the Lakers win against the Sacramento Kings with the purple and gold up by just four points in the 4th quarter, Marcus Thornton goes up for the jumper and has it blocked by Dwight Howard.

The ball stays in play, Antawn Jamison passes it off to Steve Blake who runs the ball in transition and spots up at the right wing for the picture perfect three-pointer to put the Lakers ahead by seven. It’s not everyday we see the Lakers run an effective transition defense to transition offense! Check out the play below.
