Blake was one of the longest tenured Lakers on the roster, and had the respect of every player on the roster. Today, Blake celebrated his 34th birthday, and former teammate Pau Gasol took time to show Blake some love on twitter:

Gasol has always been the consummate teammate and friend, so it makes sense that he would take some time out to wish Blake a happy birthday.

Gasol has undoubtedly been frustrated with the state of the Lakers as of late, but decided to focus on a positive this morning. Even though Blake is no longer with the team, he is still a friend of many on the roster.

We here at Lakers Nation join Pau Gasol in wishing Steve Blake a Happy 34th Birthday.
