Lakers News: Kobe Bryant Sits In Marketing Class At Boston College

The Los Angeles Lakers are on their annual Grammy road trip and their second stop is Boston, Massachusetts. Tomorrow night, the Celtics will host the Lakers, adding another chapter to this heated rivalry. Kobe Bryant is on the trip with the Lakers, but he won’t be seeing the floor anytime soon. While in Boston, Bryant decided to take in the sights and enhance his knowledge on marketing according to Ananth Pandian of Hardwoon Paroxysm:

“Although he is injured, Kobe Bryant has been traveling with the Los Angeles Lakers and being a good teammate while watching from the bench. With the Lakers arriving in Boston on Thursday to take on the Celtics Friday night, Bryant decided to use his night off to bone up on his business skills by sitting in on some marketing classes at Boston College.”

After attending the class, the five-time champion thanked Boston College on Twitter:

What a treat for the Boston College students who were in attendance. A regular marketing class quickly became a once in a lifetime experience and hopefully Bryant was able to convert a few Celtics fans in the process. Bryant is already a very savvy business man, but he might have been thinking of new ways to market himself after he retires from the NBA.

Bryant entered the NBA right out of high school and was never able to experience college, which could explain his curiosity in this marketing class. Interesting that Bryant chose to attend Boston College out of all places — home of the hated Celtics.
