Lakers News: Dwight Howard Active Sunday vs. Cavaliers

After it was announced that Dwight Howard would be re-evaluated before tonight’s game between the Lakers and the Cleveland Cavaliers, it’s not being reported that Howard will indeed suit up and take the floor, according to Mike Trudell of Lakers.com.

This is great news for the Lakers, who were initially expecting Howard to miss an extended period of time with what they thought was a torn labrum in his shoulder. Now Howard will return less than a week after the initial diagnosis (Monday), and will give the Lakers a chance to get their first win of 2013.

Los Angeles was 0-3 with Howard on the sideline.
