The Los Angeles Lakers have lost four in a row and have been ravaged by injuries. D’Angelo Russell, Nick Young, Larry Nance Jr., Tarik Black, and Jose Calderon have all missed significant time during the team’s four-game losing streak.

However, Young, who injured his calf in the team’s loss to the New Orleans Pelicans says that he is feeling better and is targeting a return to action in Monday’s game against the Sacramento Kings. With Young, Calderon, and Russell all injured, head coach Luke Walton has had to play with his lineup, even starting rookie Brandon Ingram at the point.

The Lakers are sorely missing Young’s scoring and, most surprisingly, his defensive efforts. Young has turned his career around in Los Angeles, and the sooner he can return the better. The Lakers schedule is about to soften up with four of their next five games against teams with sub .500 records, and they still have time to not let their season slip away.
