Throughout this NBA season, the defending champion Miami Heat have been considered the prohibitive favorite to hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy and repeat as NBA champions, as their dominating 27 game win streak during the regular season only served to reinforce that notion.

But in the midst of the San Antonio Spurs’ dominating performance in the Western Conference Finals, sweeping the Memphis Grizzlies to advance to their fifth NBA Finals since 1999, as well as the Heat being involved in a tooth and nail Eastern Conference Finals so far with the tough Indiana Pacers, questions have begun to surface about who will be the last team standing when this series concludes.

We asked Lakers Nation who will win the 2012-2013 NBA Finals and here are the results:

Surprisingly, the Spurs are not only the favorite, but the runaway choice to win the championship right now. It seems the Spurs’ four game domination of the Grizzlies has really swayed the opinions of the fans.

The Spurs have arguably been the most impressive team of these playoffs in going 12-2, while sweeping two of their three series to this point. It is however shocking to see them have nearly two-thirds of the entire vote.

Just as surprising is that the Heat and Pacers are nearly even in the vote, which means the fans believe the Pacers have a great shot at unseating the defending champions in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Of course, there is also a good chance that people just can’t stand Lebron James and refuse to vote for a Heat triumph, but as the saying goes, that’s why they play the games.
