Lakers Nation Reacts: Who Is More Annoying Now, Clippers or Celtics

tumblr_lwij92di971qm9rypo1_1280Earlier this week, the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers were involved in exhausting trade talks. What would have been a blockbuster deal between the two teams suddenly came to a stunning halt.

The trade would have sent Celtics head coach Doc Rivers and Hall of Fame power forward Kevin Garnett to the Clippers, and in return the Celtics would receive Clippers center DeAndre Jordan and a first round draft pick.

Considering the history the Lakers have with the Celtics and the fact that the Lakers share the same market (and building) with the Clippers, we asked Lakers Nation which team was more annoying due to their time in the headlines. Here are the results:

In our poll, 54 percent said the Clippers were more annoying since if the deal was completed, they’d be a formidable opponent for the Lakers.

It’s speculated that the trade talks fell apart when the Celtics asked the Clippers to add another one of their first round draft picks to the deal, and in turn they would receive the expiring contract of either Jason Terry or Courtney Lee. The Clippers refused to add another one of their first round picks, and therefore the two teams came to a stand-still in their negotiations and now talks have completely stopped.

What looked to be a homerun deal for the Clippers to receive a Hall of Fame coach and player and get rid of a center that does not possess much of an offensive skill set and cannot play late in the fourth quarter because he shoots below 50 percent from the free throw line, all of the sudden looks like an epic failure on the Clippers management.
