Lakers Nation News And Rumors Recap: Team Having ‘More Meaningful’ Trade Discussions
Lakers Rumors: Team Wants Next Head Coach To Be ‘recruiter-in-chief’

As the trade deadline draws near, it appears the Lakers may be sellers at the line. With a slew of veterans who could contribute on a contender, including Lou Williams and Nick Young, the team has a chance to land some assets before the deadline.

Ideally the Lakers would be able to flip one of Williams and Young for a first-round pick. The Lakers still have a shot of keeping their top-3 protected pick but landing another pick in this loaded draft class would be a major coup.

Although the Lakers have a plethora of young players, it doesn’t appear that they are ready to move on from their young core just yet. The Lakers have several young stand-outs that, from a front-office stand point, wouldn’t make sense to trade unless a superstar was coming back.
