Kobe Passes John Havlicek For 9th In Most Career Field Goals Made

Kobe Bryant is moving up on yet another list. He passed John Havlicek (who had 10,513 field goals in his career) for 9th place on the list of career leaders in field goals made. His jumper in the first quarter against the Washington Wizards on Friday night gave him 10,514 field goals made. Going into the game, he had 10,511 field goals made. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has the most career field goals in NBA history with 15,837.

Kobe seems to be reaching a lot of milestones this season. Nearly two weeks ago, he became the fifth player in NBA history to reach 30,000 points. Bryant also became the franchise’s all-time leader in steals in early November.

Kobe Bryant is also the Lakers’ leader in games played, minutes played, field goals made and attempted, three-point field goals made and attempted, free throws made and attempted, and, as mentioned earlier, steals. If he stays healthy this season, he can catch Wilt Chamberlain and become the fourth all-time leading scorer in NBA history. Chamberlain has 31,419 points and going into Friday’s game against Washington, Kobe had 30,158 points.
