Kobe Bryant in Favor of Lakers Acquiring Gilbert Arenas

The biggest free agency rumor surrounding the Lakers these days involves point guard Gilbert Arenas. After news surfaced that the team had worked Arenas out last week there have been various reports describing just how interested the team is in bringing him in.

When asked about the possibility of adding Arenas at practice on Tuesday, current Lakers guard Kobe Bryant was fairly candid about his opinion on the matter.

“Sure,” said Bryant. “It certainly wouldn’t hurt, that’s for sure.”*

There’s no doubt the Lakers need some help at the point guard position, but there have been questions concerning Arenas’ health. He reportedly looked quite spry in his recent workout session with the Lakers, and it was revealed that he had a similar knee procedure to the one Bryant received this past summer in Germany.

Some of you may remember when Arenas scored 60 points against Bryant and the Lakers back in 2006, but there’s no doubt those high-scoring days are long behind Agent Zero.
