Kobe Bryant Fined $100,000 For Slur

Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant has been fined $100,000 by the NBA for his homophobic remarks during last night’s game. Bryant was irate after a referee called him for a technical foul, and the TV cameras caught Bryant yelling the slur.

Although Kobe never actually apologized for his remarks, he told reporters the phrase was not meant to be taken literally. However, many people are still unforgiving and the NBA has made it clear that homophobic slurs will not be tolerated on the court.
