Brings You: This Week in Kicks

What’s going on citizens of LN?!  It’s out first Friday of the 2010-2011 NBA season and our defending champion Los Angeles Lakers got off to a positive start, beating the Rockets on Steve Blake’s game winning three.  I’m sure we all noticed the new championship rings the players received in addition to Lawrence Tanter snubbing coach Rasheed Hazzard during introductions.  Among other things though, did everyone see the kicks Kobe was wearing?  Well here’s a quick week in review of some fresh new kicks to keep an eye out for during the season!

The Nike Zoom Kobe V 5 Rings aka Ring Ceremony was definitely our hot topic of the week at Kicksologists, awaiting the festivities of Ring Night and a chance to catch a glance at the tribute sneakers and they were certainly worth the wait.

We also got a special first look at the Concord colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI, which I’m sure all Mamba fans and weekend warriors are eagerly awaiting the release of.  I can’t wait to see Kobe rock the VI’s for the first time this season!

The Adidas adiZero Rose is Derrick Rose’s first pair of signature kicks, which he’s already debuted on the court.  The advertising campaign with Ken Jeong from The Hangover as Slim Chin also has to be one of the more creative and hilarious ones we’ve seen in a while.

Russell Westbrook’s stock is rising more and more with each game he shows off his superior athleticism and abilities in the open court.  While he isn’t quite at the level to command his own line of shoes, a PE colorway of the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse never hurts.

Kicksologists is excited to bring you weekly updates in the world of basketball shoes and urban streetwear so stay tuned and if you get a chance, please join our Kicksologists Facebook Fan Page!  Also, I know everyone can never get enough of the Black Mamba so check out our Kobe Bryant sneaker page as well!
