Brings You: This Week in Kicks

The week was relatively quiet for the Lakers as they only played one game on Tuesday night, but they still found a way to shock us all.  Playing in their final tuner before the big Christmas Day showdown with the Miami Heat tomorrow, the Lakers lost their first home game after the 6-1 road trip to a Brandon Jennings-less Milwaukee Bucks team.  The Miami Three will roll into Staples playing very well despite the loss to Dallas the other night.  Given the Heat’s recent dominance and rhythm, it only begs the question of which team is top dog in the league right now?  Are the Lakers somehow underdogs? After last year’s blunder against the Cavs, you’ve got to wonder whether Kobe will step it up an extra gear this time around or if LeBron will duplicate the Christmas feat.  Let’s not forget as well, this year, King James has some super friends in Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.  We know what to expect from Wade, but does anyone else think that the Chris Bosh and Pau Gasol matchup will be a huge factor in determining the outcome?

Whatever the case, the moment is we’ve all been waiting for is finally upon us!  So are all the sick Christmas kicks we’ll see tomorrow!

This will be a huge weekend of Nike releases so be sure to hit up your local retailers and stay on top of them.  Tomorrow, we will see three very special pairs of sneakers hit the NBA.  I know we’ve already covered them in previous weeks, but these kicks are too big to not cover again.

Kobe will go head-to-head with LeBron in the Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘Christmas’ with Bron rocking the Nike LeBron 8 V2 ‘Christmas’.  Following their epic matchup, the league’s newest budding elite superstar Kevin Durant will debut the Nike Zoom KD III ‘Christmas’.  All three pairs are a part of Nike Basketball’s ‘Stoplight’ Pack.

Mamba will also see his Nike Zoom Kobe VI Black/Del Sol drop this weekend, marking the official release of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI.  It seems he will go up against the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’ that dropped yesterday.  Let’s see how it all goes down!

Most importantly though, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!  I wish everyone out there all the best and hope that this Christmas is well-spent with family and great food!

Oh yeah and one more thing…LET’S GO LAKERS!!!
