Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Upper Deck Lawsuit Trial to Begin Dec. 12

Los Angeles Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s lawsuit against trading card company Upper Deck is set to begin Dec. 12. Now it’s being revealed by Darren Rovell that Upper Deck will call Abdul-Jabbar’s former colleague Bill Walton as a witness for the defense.

In the lawsuit, Abdul-Jabbar is alleging that a trading card company misused his image. The former Los Angeles Lakers legend filed the lawsuit on Aug. 30, 2010, against the Upper Deck Inc.

Abdul-Jabbar alleges the company used his image from his UCLA playing days on a trading card without his permission.
