High Level Labor Meeting Set For Next Week

Although the NBA Players Union and team owners are not planning to hold a full CBA meeting until next month, there will be a high-level gathering some tine next week, CBS Sports reports. 

The meeting will include the leaders of both parties, on the owners side David Stern, Adam Silver and possibly Peter Holt, as for the Union side Derek Fisher and Billy Hunter will attend the meeting. This conference should be seen as a positive sign as both sides are trying to limit media coverage and small negotiating groups tend to lead to more serious labor talks.

The sides have participated in full bargaining session once since the owners locked out the players staring July 1st. After weeks and weeks of disappointing news, this high-level meeting can give some hope to NBA fans.

Let’s hope the Players Union and league executives could cover some ground and eventually work toward signing a new CBA in their upcoming meeting.
