The Lakers hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday, which was their first home game after four on the road. With their second consecutive win, the Lakers improved their record to .500 with a great late-game stretch from the Lakers. Late in the fourth quarter, with the shot clock winding down, Pau Gasol would grab the ball in the short corner and drill a three-pointer effectively putting the Lakers up six. The three would prove to be a dagger as the Timberwolves would not come within two possessions of the Lakers for the rest of the night.
