D-Fenders News: Team Defeat The Bayhawks In Their Final Home Game

In their last home game of the season on Wednesday night, the Los Angeles D-Fenders defeated the Erie Bayhawks 154-136.

In the first quarter, the D-Fenders scored 45 points tying their season high for points scored in the first quarter. Heading into the second frame, the D-Fenders remained dominant forcing the Bayhawks into eight turnovers which resulted in a comfortable, double-digit lead going into halftime. In the first half, Los Angeles was shooting 54.3 percent from the field and 50 percent from the three.

The D-Fenders sailed through the second half and never allowed Erie to shrink their deficit to single digits. Wednesday’s win was Los Angeles’ second wire-to-wire victory in a row and their 31st win of the season. Terrence Williams was the team’s leading scorer with 31 points and 12 rebounds. Other top contributors included Josh Magette with 16 points and 11 assists, Brandon Costner with 25 points and Shawne Williams with 24 points.

The D-Fenders embark on the first of their last two road games of the season against the Iowa Energy on Friday, April 4th.
