Bryant: “I’m Probably the One That’s Enjoying This Process the Most”

KobeBryantThe Los Angeles Lakers are currently riding a three-game winning streak and to make things better, Steve Nash should be back in the lineup very soon. The team has not played all too well under Mike D’Antoni, but the process will take some time and the Lakers are getting better day-by-day.

Kobe Bryant will always get his points and numbers, but his teammates are still not completely comfortable with D’Antoni’s system. Bryant spoke to ESPN Los Angeles and he talked about the process and how he has been dealing with it. For Bryant the process of figuring the system out is enjoyable and something that keeps him focused.

“I’m probably the one that’s enjoying this process the most because it’s the most challenging,” Bryant said. “I’m focused; I enjoy being focused about something and digging my heels in and figuring out the puzzle…. It’s coming. We’re still going to have peaks and valleys, but it’s coming.”

The D’Antoni system will work best with Steve Nash running the point and the team will surely improve once he returns. D’Antoni ran this offense with other teams, but he had the most success when Nash had the ball in his hands. At this point Chris Duhon and Darius Morris are running the position for the Lakers, and although they have done a great job, they are not at Nash’s level.

The Lakers will be looking to win their fourth consecutive game on Saturday when they play the Golden State Warriors, and there is a chance that Nash will be in the lineup.
