I myself still find it completely ridiculous that the Lakers cannot beat this team.
The Lakers always seem to play Charlotte in reflection of their record. Playing listless and uninspired. Jaded and ill-prepared. Unfortunately for the Lakers, the Bobcats give them the same treatment.
Charlotte actually seems to have a game plan against Los Angeles. Now granted that there are games much like the most recent bout between them where both teams play relatively horrible, Charlotte plays with effort, looking to make a name for themselves against a Laker team that is a championship contender almost every year.
In reality, the Lakers are still 46-17 and hold the second best record in the league, behind the Cleveland Cavaliers.
But in Lakers Nation, second best isn’t good enough.
As fans we’ll moan and groan, having doubts they can pull off another repeat. But we should remind ourselves that the Lakers are a playoff team.
And there’s no better team in the playoffs, than the Los Angeles Lakers.
There’s also no better player in the game then our very own, Kobe Bryant.
When April is upon us, the true form will show up. Not a team that should be making plans for early Spring vacation, like the Bobcats.
But we’ll still scratch our scalps bald over this confusing struggle.
