Weekly Comment Contests for Laker Shirts & DVDs

Written by on 09/08/2009 in Promotions - 57 Comments

From all the tweets and facebook comments I’ve read while setting up Lakers Nation, I know that there are a lot of people out there that have a lot to say. Whether it be funny, smart or thought-provoking, I want to encourage everyone who visits Lakers Nation to share their pearls of wisdom with everyone.

That’s why I’m going to throw a weekly comment contest from now til the first game of the 2009 season against the Clippers. The rules are pretty simple. We’re going to be posting a lot of new original articles every week and all you have to do is comment on it and you’re entered into the contest.

Picking the winner is simple: Whoever makes me smile, laugh, say “DAYAM,” think or adds any kind of value to the conversation the most will be picked as the winner of the week.

Each contest ends at midnight on Saturday and the next contest starts at 12:01a on Sunday.

Ok here is my comment…I would just like to point out the most important fact to our success, that no one, and I repeat no one has mentioned over the last few years! Ill start by asking: HOW ONE SIDED IS THAT TRADE STARTING TO LOOK??? (UGHH THE HUGE TRADE THAT SUPPOSEDLY WAS ALL KOBE’S FAULT by RUNNING THE BIG MAN OUT OF LA!!) This leads me to ask, who would you rather have at this very moment? Lamar Odom or “The Big Franchise Killer” SHAQ…Shaq was a no factor in the Heat’s championship (Alonso was in case yall missed it) he then bailed on them for PHX. Mmmmmm, yeah that didnt quite work out to well did it?? Next up, the 0-2 CAVS, who only lost back to back games twice last year! The CAVS excelled with Lebron in isolation situations. Now, that is a distant memory with SHAQ clogging the lane! Good luck with that Bron Bron. Lamar was a key contributer to our ring last year and is a triple double threat nearly every single night. Further more, the guy did not even complain about his 6th man role!! Need I say more?? Lamar is much much better player than shaq now, and has many more solid seasons to come!! ANDD WAITT im not done…imagine if we kept Caron Butler and he was coming off the bench with Lamar!! Are you kidding me how could we ever lose?!! (In case yall forgot Caron is an all star for the WIZ and was included in that Shaq trade. Yes I know we traded Caron for Kwame and Kwame for Pau. I just bring up the arguement to show how much better those 2 are than Shaq.) Peace, got my 2 cents in, im out!!!
