Vin Scully vs. Chick Hearn

Overall, there is no way you could ever say one is better than the other, as it is impossible to say for sure.  Lakers fans will prefer Hearn while those that bleed Dodger Blue will say you’re crazy to pick anyone but Scully.  There is no wrong answer here, and as Los Angeles fans we must be thankful that we have had the pleasure of inviting these men into our homes and lives for over half a century, and when we consider the pantheon of legendary sportscasters, for Los Angeles, there are only two.

    Both guys are legendary. I grew up listening to both. I don’t watch baseball as much, but I consider the Dodgers equivalent to Vin Scully. Chick was in a league by himself with his great analogies…especially: “The door is shut, the eggs are cold, the butter’s getting hard, and the jello’s jigglin’”. Both class acts and my favorite announcers, but one up for Chick!

    that was awesome. such great memories of those games with the biggest sports fan to ever live and breathe in los angeles, my gramps. very very cool. vin scully though. he’s one in a million.
