All Lakers were in attendance at the Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes launch party Monday night. Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters got the chance to ask Pau Gasol why his nickname “The Spaniard” unfortunately never stuck.

Plus, Gasol had plenty to say about the generosity of teammate Steve Nash, although admitting that they haven’t had the chance to develop a friendship just yet.

“To have a player that is unselfish and has the skill level of Steve and the passing level of Steve, it’s a blessing for any teammate.”

But, as for Nash speaking his mind on the court or staying quiet, Gasol still is unsure, as they’ve only spent a few hours together as a team.
