It was no ordinary Friday night at Staples Center for the Los Angeles Lakers. The purple and gold shared their center stage with Lakers legend Jamaal Wilkes, who had his jersey retirement ceremony at halftime. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor and Magic Johnson were just a few of the big names in attendance. With such an astute audience, it was a good thing the Lakers blew out the Portland Trail Blazers 104-87.

Kobe Bryant credited energy for the win, and said Dwight Howard had an “edge” about him. Bryant also talks about his “feel young” New Year’s resolution and gets a few laughs when he says that he’d force Shaq to present at his jersey retiring ceremony.
