Video: Kareem Calls Out Shaq, Talks About Upcoming Roast

Last week, former Laker Shaquille O’Neal made some controversial comments about New Jersey Nets center Brook Lopez being a better true center than Howard. Howard responded with some comments of his own.

“There’s no sense of him talking trash. He had his time in the league. Sit back and relax. Your time is up.”

Over the weekend, Lakers Nation reporter Amy Halvorsen asked Kareem Abdul-Jabbar how he felt about Shaq’s comments.

“Shaq’s been retired now. I understand he’s going to play in Mexico and do some other things, so I wouldn’t be surprised that he might get delusional about a few things.”

Sounds like the former Laker legend and the current Lakers superstar are on the same page. Kareem also had a few words to say about his upcoming November 17th roast. Who is he most nervous to be roasted by? His teammates.

“They have some factual stuff to reminisce on.”

A day after Kareem’s legendary statue is unveiled on November 16th, the “Cap” will be roasted by entertainer George Lopez at the JW Marriott L.A. LIVE and Ritz-Carlton in Los Angeles. Let’s hope Shaq doesn’t make a surprise guest appearance.
