Amongst all the Media Day commotion, Lakers Nation also managed to ask Dwight Howard a couple questions off the court, at the Time Warner Cable SportsNet launch party. Besides looking very comfortable on the red carpet, the new L.A. resident opened up to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters about his crush on Ellen Degeneres.

“That is my boo-thang…I was kind of upset that she got married, but I said it’s okay I can still be your boo.”
Although Howard met some of his teammates for the first time on Monday, he was quick to harness accolades on being the best dancer on the Lakers roster.
“I don’t think a lot of guys can really move as well as me. I got the footwork down patent.”
L.A. Times reporter Melissa Rohlin also asked Dwight for a hint on the subject of his next prank.
“He looks like Kanye West.”
