Video: Dwight Howard Hits Three-Pointer in Lakers’ Win

Everything was falling for the Los Angeles Lakers last night in their 122-103 win over the Denver Nuggets. In fact, the team tied a franchise record with their 17 three-pointers.

The Lakers got seven threes from Jodie Meeks, five from Antwan Jamison and even Dwight Howard helped in tying the record. Howard hit his three at the final seconds of the game, and the excitement on his face was priceless. A player that struggles from the line should be surprised to see a shot fall from that far and the entire Staples Center was on its feet after the three.

    It was a awesome game:
D12 – 3-pointer was like icing on the cake. (Shot was appropriate at the end of the game, Lakers were leading by big margin. In addition, he had been practicing that shot prior during his practice time. I am surprised author failed to mentioned the readers that this is his favorite 3-point spot.

Congrats to Lakers for franchise record with their 17 three-pointers. Great job by meeks and AJ (I was probably the worst when it came to criticizing AJ. But, he deserves respect for playing such an awesome game. I always expected something like this how he played against denver. Glad to see players understanding their roles. Good job AJ and Meeks.
Meeks I am not worried about him much, i rarely criticized him. This new D’Antoni system is working at least for these two players.

I would have appreciated if author or Lakersnation mention what was the previous record? was it 13, 14, 15, 16 three pointers?

Awesome game from start to finish. Great momentum, energy and intensity. Everything went the Lakers’ way. Glad to see everyone chip in and not only Kobe doing everything. We need this on a consistent basis though but Howard’s face after his 2nd career three = PRICELESS. Go Lakers!!!!
