At Lakers Media Day, many people seemed more concerned about Dwight Howard’s future than the present. Howard chats with Lakers Nation 
reporter Serena Winters on Kobe passing him the torch, tells another reporter that he needs a towel to wipe off his own perspiration, and even jokes around about a potential new iPhone 6 application.
The lingering question regarding Howard’s timetable for his recovery from back surgery still remains.
“I don’t have a percentage meter for my back.”
And, it doesn’t sound like Dwight’s expecting Kobe to go easy on him.
“I know he’s going to be tough on me, so I’ll take all the heat that he’s going to give me.”
