The Los Angeles Lakers finished their week with a win at home against Pau Gasol and the Chicago Bulls, ending their nine-game losing skid. Of course, the news of Kobe Bryant’s season-ending injury (torn rotator cuff) took center stage. Bryant received surgery on Wednesday and is expected to be back at the start of next season (nine months).

Bryant surprised Gasol on Friday night when less than 24 hours after surgery he came to Staples Center to talk to his former teammate.
