As the great Chick Hearn used to say, the playoffs is “when the real season begins.” There’s nothing like the pressure of 7 games series to weed out the fakers and highlight the Lakers! Even our own Ron Artest told us to judge him in the playoffs and well, we know how that turned out!
So, what is a grow-up moment you ask? Well, it’s the moment that makes you realize “oh crap, I just made a play that really changed the outcome of this game! I can do this!” For some players, they’re already grown-up – i.e. Fisher and Kobe – but even those two playoff veterans had their own moments as well these playoffs.
