Top 5 Lakers Shooting Guards

By Daniel Buerge | Editorials | 16.09.09 | SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

The next chapter in our Top 5 series continues with the great shooting guards in Lakers history. Similar to the point guard list, this list had several obvious members and several that required a little more thought. Unlike the point guard list however, the top spot on this list was much tougher to decide. So without further ado, here we go.

5. Byron Scott Scott played for the Lakers from 1983 until 1993 and returned for another season in 1996. Scott was a member of three Lakers Championship teams, and was a member of the All-Rookie team in 1984. Scott was the starting guard during the Showtime era, and played alongside other Lakers greats such as Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and providing a positive contribution to the team. He started at SG for Los Angeles from 1984 until 1993.

So that is our list, but we are sure that there are those of you who disagree. Chime in and tell us your thoughts on who you believe deserves to be on the list of the top Lakers shooting guards of all time.
