Timberwolves to Fire Former Lakers Assistant Kurt Rambis

Rumor has it that Kurt Rambis’ tenure in Minnesota is already coming to an end. Sources close to the situation say that general manager David Kahn has already decided to fire Rambis.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports is reporting that Kahn’s decision has already been made, but that Minnesota won’t make the official announcement until after the draft on Thursday night.

Apparently the relationship between Kahn and Rambis has all but deteriorated, and has been practically nonexistent since the middle of last season.

Rambis still has two years remaining on his original four year deal. He finished last season with the worst record in the league at 17-65, and finished 32-132 during his entire tenure in Minnesota.
