NBA Game Previews for February 28th, 2011

Phoenix Suns at New Jersey Nets- 7:00 P.M. EST/ 4:00 P.M. PST- NBA League Pass

Suns- (30-27) Nets- (17-42)

The Phoenix Suns are coming off a thrilling win versus the Indiana Pacers, and they hope to carry their momentum into tonight’s game. The Suns have added Aaron Brooks to their roster, and they hope Brooks can provide much needed energy off the bench.

Deron Williams will make his debut in front of the New Jersey crowd, and he will be looking to win his first game as a Net. The Nets will play a great game, but the Suns’ offensive prowess will be difficult to handle.

Prediction: Suns win

Chicago Bulls at Washington Wizards7:00 P.M. EST/ 4:00 P.M. PST- NBA League Pass

Bulls- (40-17) Wizards- (15-43)

The Chicago Bulls should have no problem taking care of the lowly Wizards. The Bulls are coming off a key victory versus the Miami Heat, and both of their starting big men are healthy; when healthy and focused, the Chicago Bulls can contend for an Eastern Conference title

Prediction: Bulls win

Atlanta Hawks at Denver Nuggets- 9:00 P.M. EST/ 6:00 P.M. PST- NBA League Pass

Hawks- (36-23) Nuggets- (24-26)

The Atlanta Hawks will play their second game of a back-to-back at the Mile High City. The Hawks are a very talented team, but the altitude in Denver will be a daunting obstacle. The new Nuggets team feeds off the crowd’s energy, and they should prevail in a close game. Although the Nuggets are battling chemistry issues, their offensive firepower will surely be a boon.

Prediction: Nuggets win

Boston Celtics at Utah Jazz- NBA TV- 9:00 P.M. EST/ 6:00 P.M. PST

Celtics- (42-15) Jazz-(32-28)

The Boston Celtics will travel to Utah to face the new look Jazz team; however, the Celtics have also traded several players. The Celtics will be without Kendrick Perkins, so they will lose his defensive tenacity and aggressiveness.  The Jazz will have their crowd behind them the whole game, and they are fully capable of pulling-off the upset. The Jazz are a much quicker team, and their big men will present a problem to the Celtics.

Prediction: Jazz win

Los Angeles Clippers at Sacramento Kings- 10:00 P.M. EST/ 7:00 P.M. PST- NBA League Pass

Clippers- (21-39) Kings-(14-43)

In this battle of California, two struggling teams at the bottom of the Western Conference will battle for bragging rights. Although both teams are out of the playoff hunt, they are exciting to watch and will surely entertain the crowd. However, the Clippers are more talented and have recently acquired two players from the Cleveland Cavaliers. The game will be close throughout, but the Clippers should escape with a win.

Prediction: Clippers win
