Which means that if we omit Sir Charles’ run in ‘93 and the “7 Seconds or Less” era from team history, he’s pretty much been drowning in a pool of mediocrity for about as long as I’ve known him. So when the topic of Shannon Brown entering the Slam Dunk Contest was brought up, he was quick to quip: “I don’t get the fuss over that guy”.

I mean it’s not like we traded Vladimir Radmanovic for Shannon Brown. We traded him for Adam Morrison and his wicked mustache, remember? Shannon was just a throw in to make salaries match. Well it turns out Shannon Brown was much more than just a throw in, and he made that point loud and clear from Day 1.
