Number 4: Farmar’s Haircut

Farmar's new do...

With all the attention Ron Ron’s (multiple) haircuts are getting, I think we’re overlooking the unintentional comedy that is Jordan Farmar’s sweet fade. I’m not sure if you had the opportunity to see his new haircut, but he looks like he’s going with Kid & Play to a House Party in 1991.

Remarkably, when Farmar left that barber shop all faded up, he started to play pretty well. He sparked the Lakers with 19 points in a home win against Indiana and was probably the only Laker that played well in Charlotte. If the Lakers hope to string together some wins this month, they greatly need consistent play not only from Jordan Farmar but also the rest of his so-called Bench Mob. As with most teams in the NBA, the Lakers’ bench typically plays much better at home, where the friendly crowd and home court officiating allow them to flourish. Given that the Lakers play 8 more games on the road this month, they definitely have their work cut out for them.

To advocate team harmony and consistency, I propose that every member of the Lakers bench head straight to the barber shop and get cut up with a sweet fade just like Jordan Farmar. Maybe that will give them the spark they need to make the impact Coach Phil Jackson is desperately hoping for.
