The Los Angeles Lakers are back home tonight hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves after a four-game road trip ended in a win against the Memphis Grizzlies, but also the loss of their superstar. Bryant is expected to miss six weeks with an injury he suffered to his left knee in the game against Memphis. With Nash, Blake and Farmar out, Bryant became the fourth guard to go down with injury this season, leaving the team with a big void at point guard. It took little time for the Lakers to add a point guard as they signed former Phoenix Suns’ lottery pick Kendall Marshall.

In their first meeting of the season, the Timberwolves came out on top winning 113-90 back in November. Nash only played 13 minutes before heading to the bench and sitting out the rest of the game due to his back injury. The Timberwolves are coming off a big win over the Portland Trailblazers, and it will be a tough game for the Lakers facing the likes of Kevin Love. The Lakers may have caught a break if Ricky Rubio can’t go tonight, though. The Lakers are currently 6-6 at home and with a win tonight they can return to the .500 mark in their overall record.
