Shaquille O’Neal Calls Kobe “Greatest Laker of All Time”

It seems that every week there’s a new update involving former Lakers center Shaquille O’Neal. That trend won’t be bucked this week as there is another update involving Shaq and his feud with current Lakers guard Kobe Bryant.

However, the latest chapter involves O’Neal being much more civil towards Bryant. In fact, in this instance he was downright complementary.

During an interview with KTLA on Monday, O’Neal talked about where Bryant stands in Lakers history.

“Based on what he’s done, he’s probably the greatest Laker of all time. If he gets another championship, he’ll tie with Kareem. That will put him up there.”

While Bryant will never personally discuss where his positioning should be on the Mount Rushmore of Laker legends, O’Neal didn’t split hairs when putting together his list.

For those statisticians out there that will quickly point out that Abdul-Jabbar only won five titles with the Lakers, O’Neal is referring to his career total of six. Abdul-Jabbar won his first championship with the Milwaukee Bucks in 1971 before being traded to Los Angeles.
