Now that Ron Artest is a Los Angeles Laker ,the Chinese based shoe company Peak hopes that the Lakers popularity will translate in increased sales especially here in the the west coast where there is a large Chinese population. Even though Nike and Kobe Bryant are number one in China, Peak hopes to sway some of those Laker fans to wear thier Artest and Vujacic shoes. Sasha Vujacic already has his own Peak basketball shoe which he wore last year. Sasha Vujacic said he is proud and happy to be with Peak. He also has a casual shoe. Both Ron Artest and Sasha Vujacic went to China this past summer to promote the Peak shoe.
Peak is working on recruiting more NBA players to add to their list which includes Jason Kidd, Darnell Jackson and Shane Battier. Look for Peak to make Laker inspired models for both Artest and Vujacic.
