Reports: Pau Gasol Looking at Barcelona if NBA Season Cancelled

By | November 15, 2011|

Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol is reportedly ready to play basketball in Barcelona if this current lockout cancels the NBA season. Gasol previously ignored the possibility of him going overseas to play, but with the latest gloomy news, that may actually occur.

“If they cancel the season we would like to play here,” Gasol said, according to Slam. “I speak for myself, but Marc (Gasol) would also like to play for Barcelona.”

The Gasol brothers played for Spain in the 2011 FIBA European Championships, and he is legend in his home country. At this point, many people believe the lockout may in fact cancel the 2011-12 season, so a trip to Spain would be beneficial to Gasol.
