Report: Magic End Trade Discussions for Dwight Howard

By | December 14, 2011|

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports the Orlando Magic are no longer listening to deals for their prized center, Dwight Howard.

This comes after a report earlier this morning that the New Jersey Nets were in serious discussions with Orlando for a three-team trade that would involve the Portland Trail Blazers and send Howard to New Jersey.

In terms of what this means for the Lakers it is yet to be seen. Last night rumors once again surfaced that Los Angeles was once again shifting its focus to New Orleans and Chris Paul.

Los Angeles is reportedly offering a package built around forward Pau Gasol for the Hornets point guard, while they were looking to send center Andrew Bynum to Orlando for Howard.

For now, it appears as if the Magic are prepared to begin the season with Howard in their lineup.

i sure hope we get rid of lamar and pau quick style. those guys gonna be shook after all the talk of getting them outta LA. two of our most fragile players don’t need attention like that

Howard is healthy and rarely missed a game. I am more comfortable trading away the farm for someone I can be confident will be in the line up every night. I like Paul, I love Howard.
