Playoff Talking Basketballs & Kobe Prizes

The NBA has recently released a number of talking basketball commercials as part of their playoff campaign, where basketballs would speak firsthand about their experience in game situations and encounters with players.

Our “Pulse of Purple & Gold” media team took it upon themselves to track down former and current basketballs to speak on behalf of this years team to share advice and moments they have encountered, both past and present. What an advantage we have to hear from basketballs that have been in the possessions of Laker players to inform us of what it will take for the Lakers to 3-Peat as NBA Champions.

January 22, 2006 – Dear ball, i know that you and Kobe have always had ‘a thing for each other’ but it was never more obvious then this day. Cobe caressed you and you returned the favor by giving him some friendly bounces and you seemed to go in every time he pushed you at the hoop…what was it that sparked this display of affection on that glorious day?
