Phil Jackson Stars in Audi Commercial

By | September 9, 2011|

He may not be the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers any longer but that doesn’t mean Phil Jackson doesn’t still appreciate the best.

A new commercial for the German automobile company Audi puts Jackson in the middle of the action, and has him speak a few words of his famous Zen wisdom. He even pokes a little fun at some of the highly eccentric egos he dealt with as a coach in the NBA.

This was so great last night during the NFL kickoff game. Nice job to coach. Saw the other one later with two couples discussing artwork, it felt a little flat to me and my wife.

While Phil Jackson is the guru of successful basketball for the Chicago Bulls and LA Lakers, he was NOT the innovator of the triangle offense. Tex Winter was and should be given proper credit. Phil Jackson was the IMPLEMENTER of the triangle offense.

I want Phil back, and I’ll take an Audi A8 as well.

    Way to go!
