Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol is interested in playing for Spain’s national basketball team in the European Championship. The tournament will be held this summer in Lithuania from August 31st to September 18th.

However, Gasol may not be as effective for the Spanish team as he had been in years prior. After seeing his performance in the 2011 Playoffs, Spain may be disappointed with their star.

If the Lakers are fortunate enough, Gasol may come back next season more “tougher.”
