Jack Shows Why LA is Tops in Sports

If you ask most of the country, most people think Los Angeles is the worst sports town in the world, but if you ask where most of the country is located, I can tell you it’s over on the east coast. We all talk about east coast bias because they can never stay up past midnight to see what’s going on over here on the left coast, but now the NEW YORK Times is bowing down and letting the world know that LA is place to be when it comes to SportsTown USA!

NY Times - Dodger Stadium was half full Wednesday night because it was a little chilly out and the Lakers were pummeling the Rockets in a playoff game and, after all, Los Angeles is a Lakers town. New York would like to be an anything town right now. Its two baseball teams barely have more victories than the red-hot Dodgers. Its three metro area hockey teams are lining up tee times. We’d talk about its two local N.B.A. teams, but neither of them is in the playoffs either, and just mentioning the Knicks sparks a citywide case of heartburn.
