Nike Zoom Kobe V Rice: But Kobe went to Lower Merion!

It is said that Kobe sponsors some of the students on the Rice High School basketball team, but seeing as how Nike has awarded them with their own Home and Away PE editions of the Nike Zoom Kobe V, they better win a national championship, or at the very least a state title. We saw Nike gear up for March Madness by giving Duke and USC their own signature PE kicks, but now we’ve also got two high schools in Lower Merion and Rice going to battle every game with some Mamba magic on their feet. Lower Merion students and fans are probably wondering, “What’s going on Kobe?!”

Decked out in a Yellow/Green colorway with a touch of white on the heel end of the midsole, this ‘Away’ edition of Zoom Kobe V will surely boost the competitive spirit of the Varsity squad every time they rock them on the hardwood. The upper is primarily yellow with green trimmings in various areas on the shoe such as the Swoosh logo, around the laces, and the inner lining. We can also see some playful green laces dotted with yellow and of course, the school’s name “RICE” rests on the heel counter.

It’s no longer a top secret that the Nike Zoom Kobe V is the hottest and lightest basketball shoe (10.6 oz.) in the game right now. These kicks offer the wearer the ultimate basketball sneaker experience with Nike’s top of the line comfort, stability, and flexibility. High school kids are so lucky these days, ridiculous!

The Rice ‘Away’ colorway is set to release this Saturday March 20, 2010 at the House of Hoops around the nation so if you live near one, go cop a pair for a cool $130.00. Keep in mind that LeBron’s Air Max VII sells for $160.00!
