Nick Young On Shooting Struggles: ‘Still Trying To Find My Rhythm’

Since Nick Young has returned from injury, the Los Angeles Lakers have split their four games. While Young shot the ball fairly well against the Atlanta Hawks and Houston Rockets, he has only shot 21 percent in his last two games.

After the 2-for-12 performance against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday, Young says he is still trying to find his rhythm and can’t do all the ball handling he wants to do with his right hand via Lakers Nation senior writer Ryan Ward:

Young returned earlier than expected and is still trying to find his rhythm as he learns how to play with his teammates, especially Kobe Bryant. Despite playing four games so far, the sixth man is wearing a small wrap on his thumb which is also causing him to adjust his shot.

As Young finds his rhythm on the court, there should be more balance on the offensive end as he will be able to take the scoring load off of Kobe. With Young struggling against the Nuggets, Kobe took it upon himself to try to win the game, but was unable to convert on most of his attempts in the fourth quarter and overtime.
